Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use BallBot. It supplements the Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Permitted Use
BallBot is designed for individuals and organizations that provide coaching, teaching, training, or instruction services. You may use BallBot to:
- Manage client records for your coaching or training business.
- Communicate with your clients via email and WhatsApp through BallBot's messaging features.
- Schedule sessions, track attendance, and manage classes.
- Use AI features to draft messages, generate lesson plans, and parse documents.
- Connect AI assistants and automation tools via the API, MCP server, or CLI.
- Allow your clients to view their schedules and messages via the client portal.
2. Messaging Conduct
When sending messages through BallBot (email, WhatsApp, or any future channel), you must:
- Only contact people who have a legitimate relationship with your coaching business. BallBot is not a mass marketing tool.
- Comply with CAN-SPAM Act requirements for email (include your business name and address, provide an unsubscribe mechanism, honor opt-out requests promptly).
- Comply with TCPA requirements for text/WhatsApp messaging (obtain prior consent before sending automated messages).
- Not send messages that are deceptive, threatening, harassing, or contain illegal content.
- Not use BallBot to contact people who have asked to stop receiving messages from you.
3. AI Feature Use
- Review all AI-generated content before sending it to clients, particularly when using "draft-and-hold" mode.
- If using "autopilot" mode, monitor automated messages regularly and take responsibility for anything sent on your behalf.
- Do not attempt to manipulate AI features to generate harmful, misleading, or inappropriate content.
4. API and Automation Conduct
- Respect rate limits. Do not attempt to circumvent or bypass rate limiting.
- Do not use the API to scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data for purposes unrelated to your coaching business.
- Keep your API keys secure. Do not share them publicly, commit them to version control, or embed them in client-side code.
- You are responsible for all actions taken by AI agents, scripts, or third-party tools connected to your BallBot account.
5. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use BallBot for any business other than coaching, teaching, training, or instruction.
- Store or transmit client data that is intentionally false or misleading.
- Attempt to access data belonging to another Coach.
- Use BallBot to store sensitive health information (BallBot is not HIPAA-compliant).
- Resell, redistribute, or white-label BallBot without written authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of BallBot.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt the Service.
- Use BallBot in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.
6. Enforcement
If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may:
- Issue a warning and request that you correct the violation.
- Temporarily suspend your account or specific features (such as messaging).
- Permanently terminate your account for serious or repeated violations.
We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking action, except in cases where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any misuse of BallBot, please report it to hello@ballbot.coach.
